Beautiful Book

I've always liked Desmond Morris' books, and this one was quite a pleasant surprise. It's a beautiful coffee table book, with tons of interesting information, and well-made pull outs. I suggest this book as a gift to someone who's got a kid on the way, or already has a baby about to reach those exciting toddler years. As a former kindergarten teacher, it was a fun read that also made sense of some of the interesting behaviors of that age.

If you have questions about the research process in political science or international relations, this text is invaluable. If you have a desire to be challenged and produce well-researched and definitive work, the text is a must.

I initially only read the first four chapters since the remainder of the book was a bit less helpful for my thesis (I did go back and read the rest later, and the rest of the book was also helpful although less applicable to my project), but I wish that I had read this book at the beginning. Setting up the methodology for my thesis would have been so much easier and would have taken a lot of pain and frustration out of the process. I understand so much more clearly now how to go about creating a research design. I will definitely be employing these methods in the future! It is great to read about doing research in a way that is down-to-earth and approachable.

A great book for great results.

This is a great book and it serves both beginners and advanced users that want to implement System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2 (however if you have the 2012 version will serve you well too but without the new features).
I have read numerous books for SCCM from version 2007 and onwards, all of them were/are very good however they lacked something substantial, the real-world examples, some of them had/have fragments of them but neither has the extend of this book.
Kent has a very nice scenario based approach that guides you through and provides the directions on how to approach your SCCM implementation, his easy way of describing and writing style -without overdescribing and burdening you with too much info- helps you follow the book's flow and achieve your targets.
Although you can read it non-linearly it is best not to (except you have the previous editions and want to checkout the new stuff).
Highly recommended!

This book is well written and informative whether you're a novice or an expert. Going through the exercises and examples in this book has helped me to understand how to use SCCM better and made me more comfortable with how to use it.

An Invaluable Update to an already incredible book.

If you already own the 1st or 2nd edition of this book, then you know the kind of quality to expect here. For more details, I would suggest checking out my review of the first edition:

Now, with that said, whether you are a beginner with SCCM or a little more advanced, this really is an incredible resource. The updates pertaining to R2 are invaluable, so if you do have the 1st edition of the book it is still absolutely worth picking up this one. I used the first edition as a reference when I implemented SCCM 2012 at one company and the 3rd edition for my next implementation at a different company and I truly believe it to be the best guide/resource/reference available overall for implementing a clean and efficient installation of SCCM in your environment. As I have mentioned in my previous review, it almost serves as a manual for a smaller sized SCCM implementation. Better than anything Microsoft has to offer.

Kent, (The Author) is vastly experienced with Config manager implementations and as a trainer he is absolutely second to none. This real word experience of implementations and training really shows through on every page, which makes this Volume a must have item for anyone working with SCCM 2012.

About the Author

Arthur Szyk (1884–1951) was known primarily as a political illustrator of the highest caliber. Eleanor Roosevelt once referred to him as a “one-man army,” and indeed, he saw himself as a “soldier in art.”
Byron L. Sherwin, a Jewish scholar and ethicist, has served on the faculty of the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies since 1970. He lives in Chicago.�

Irvin Ungar, an antiquarian bookseller and former rabbi, has championed the rediscovery of Szyk’s work. He lives in Burlingame, California.

If you are looking to elevate your Seder experience and bring more meaning to this important evening with family and friends, there is no better choice that the Szyk Haggadah. Absolutely gorgeous illustrations.

If you are not familiar with the Passover liturgy and are casually considering the purchase of a Haggadah, please let me encourage you to make the purchase. The parable of the Four Sons should truly be read and known by everyone who teaches in any capacity. It will powerfully illuminate how you serve those you answer.

AMAZING book! A priceless collection of art and calligraphy.

This is an amazing piece of history as well as great art, in the form of the Hagaddah. Written at a time when German Jews were facing more and more persecution, this Hagaddah, while traditional in its text, strays in its illustration from the customary focus on the suffering of Jews to Biblical scenes of strength and resistance. Arthur Szyk was helping to form a new conceptualization of Jews as actors in their own destiny.

The art is astounding and the calligraphy (Hebrew) gorgeous. Penned and inked in the style of Medieval illuminated manuscripts, it really stands out.

Exceeding expectations but with one disadvantage

The new release of CPR book is really amazing, long chapters have been re-edited and the material is very up to date. The papers are of good quality.

The only disadvantage is that lww wanted to retain the rights of photocopy, so some chapters are only available on the point website without being included in the book. This is a real disadvantage for students or readers who want to have the hard copy in hand!!!

Super happy with this purchase!

Excellent book to help prepare for FPGEE. I was very scared facing this exam because I just have to pass it, considering it costs more than a $1,000 to sit for it. I followed the exam blueprint published by NABP and matched them with the topics presented in this book, 85% of the materials mentioned in the blueprint is in this book. I was not aiming for a perfect score of 150 (highest score possible to pass FPGEE) but I needed to at least be familiar with most of the topics in the blueprint, so this book did that. I passed FPGEE with a score of 86.

The cons of this book is that there are some minor typos, mismatched answer to practice questions and it is 'old'. The first edition was published in 2010 and before the purchased I tried to find the latest edition (I was hopeful that there is a 2nd or 3rd edition since it was first published, which contains updated material) but there is none.

Overall, I am happy with this purchase and will use it again to face NAPLEX after I finish my 1,500 hours of internship as a foreign pharmacy graduate who wants to be licensed as a pharmacist here in the US.

I am a first year pharmacy student and I got this book to help me study for my exam and also to start getting used to NAPLEX style questions. So far it has met my expectations. I like the practice questions at the end.
