Straightforward but shallow

Dr. Crow's book provides a broad look at many topics related to power systems numerical analysis. However, there are many blatant errors in this edition, and a questionable amount of assumptions are made about the background of the reader. The sections on sparse matrices, iterative solution, and power flow are sufficient, but the material on transient stability analysis is lacking. I would consider this book to be a good overview in this area and a quick start guide for a power engineer who is handed a computation task, but if you do not already have a sufficient grasp of power systems, you will need to follow references and delve into background for real understanding of what the methods are doing.

Bad experience

The item as such is good but I had to suffer from lots of hassles during this purchase. I could receive the book almost after a month that I have placed an order. I think this was because of the seller of the item. I hope this kind of thing never happens again.
